In this vid you see half of the One Last Cast Crew fish King Parrot Creek near Melbourne. I land a couple of good browns here.
Also, the lure used to catch the first fish is an XR-06, not a MAGNUM as I say incorrectly in the title, was thinking too much of Tuna fishing lol!

  • great fish, the parrot has recovered very nicely since the fires. all the rain we had helped a lot. i love a half hour from KP and im thinking im going to go flick some flies/lures and see what i get. access doesnt look too good unless u go through private land though....

  • @notsofatmike1 Mate as long as you stay in the riverbed they can't stop you from accessing the river.

The important part is that where you initially get into the water, you make sure that it's technically public land!!

    Cheers,

    Sam

  • Hey sam its James here or Mudgee on tacklebox. Just wondering what rod and reel your using. I'm getting a new baitcast reel and rod for natives but I need a little spin rod and reel for trout and other small fish. cheers! p.s great vid

  • @skootlad Hey mate, Rod is a NS Black Hole Hurricane Trout in 6'0" and the reel is a Daiwa Presso Iprimi

    Cheers,

    Sam

  • hey what part of the river is this?

  • @stevie3394 Hey Stevie, this is somewhere around the Flowerdale area! Not gonna go into specifics as the searching is half the fun :)

    Cheers,

    Sam

Hi buddy, I live about 15 minutes from this creek, and I've flogged it for over 30 years...Minnow type lures will catch better sized Trout than spinners,...Rapalas, 5cm in the Rainbow trout, both floating and sinking are reliable, the Brown trout colour is good too...JD/ Eddy lures Lip Ripper 4 cm floater is fantastic, ( Google) Drop me a line if you want to know a lot more...All the best..

  • great vids

  • @morgas28 @morgas28 Hey mate, Access is good for the area I fish, though I tend to spend most of my time wading in the creek as it is easier!! Thanks for the tip on that creek in Greensborough, ive been looking for places closer to home t fish, will have to check it out so,e time!! Cheers, Sam
