An excerpt from award winning documentary "40 Years of One Night Stands: The Story of Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet." Evelyn Hart and David Peregrine dance the pas de deux from Norbert Vesak's ballet, "Belong." This performance occurred in the competition at the International Ballet Competition in Varna, Bulgaria in 1980. Evelyn was honored as the first Canadian to win a gold medal and David won a bronze.

  • What a beautiful, romantic video danced so wonderfully.

    What a pity about the narration. Couldn't he have done that either before/after the dance and left them to dance exquisitely in peace?

  • @MikhaelaFifaela Actually the audience gave them a standing ovation for 16 or 18 minutes. Evelyn Hart commented that she felt that it never ended, that's how overwhelmed the crowd was with this spectacular pas de deux.

    Actually, you can't hear it well but it got standing ovation after standing ovation!! They finally had to ask Evelyn and David to ask the audience for no more cheers!!:) Wonderful piece!!
