try taking the bass and mid to 10 and the treble at 0 and depending on how bright your guitar is set the presence between 5 -10 and tell me what you think!

as for the statements made about where guitars are made...your only partly right, but there is no such thing as a chinese Gibson, ESP, those are exclusively made in the US, the LTD's Epiphones, even Fender have them made in other countries to their specs...there are literally hundreds of factories pumping out these types of guitars in China, Indonesia, Korea..etc. and many faked like those Epiphone Custom Les Pauls all over eBay, you want a USA made guitar...your gonna pay!

"high" gain? the Marshall my friend has, a JMP 100 watt..which is around 4-5 on the volume knob, dimed out it would be around 180 watts.. the Burgera 1960 is rated at 150 watts max wattage...companies used to rate wattage at "max" then went to RMS so it's safe to say the Bugera 1960 is a 100 watt amp RMS. And what the difference between 180 and 150 watts? Nothing to speak of for sure...I believe the 1990 is 120watt max wattage rating... making it maybe a 75-80watt RMS amp.

@anthonygnr I prefer the Bugera 1960, with a Weber Mass 200 attenuator it sounds like my 1977 Marshall JMP 50w head. But I am thinking of having a PPIV master volume installed. I never liked using distortion pedals... also he needs to stop those weak VH taps....
Hey man, awesome review, im really interested in this amp, im only 16 but guitar and music is my life, is this amp worth the money? im looking for somthing like a JCM with allot of different sounds so blues, metal, punk, classic ect? would this amp be a good choice?

@anthonygnr
It's worth the money for sure. Just make sure to get one that's made with the last couple years. The early ones did have some issues.

Hi, Max.
Do you think this head would resist touring?

@TheGuitarbound
Would it surive touring? Maybe, if treated gently. Any tube amp will have problems if it gets thrown around all the time.
