Larry and I made taiyaki (japanese fish shaped pastry) for larry's graduation party. We tried a new recipe, and it didn't stick this time!

  • If oil or butter spreading on the tray is too less, Taiyaki may be hard to remove from the tray.

    トレーに塗る油またはバターの量が少ないと、タイ焼きをトレーから はがしづらいのかもしれません。

  • @dccmnmn thank you for the tip. :)

  • what a cruel way to cook a fish!

  • well, it's not a real fish, so really it's "what a cruel way to cook wheat flour and sugar!" ^_^

  • RIP Otis :'(

  • you should use egg ball or egg waffle batter that is the stuff that is like for taiyaki and plus egg balls are made by the chinese and i've seen chinese people make taiyaki and egg balls before

  • Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)

  • do you have to cook taiyaki over an open flame or can the other kind of stove top work or maybe a waffle maker

  • i only know that you can get it online. that's it though, never saw it anywhere in a local store.

  • is there any place to buy it in Arkansas?

    D:?

  • I love taiyaki so much. They got rid of the one place that sold it near my school. T^T

Where can you buy that tray?
