Flatnose and Barney came to the Stanly Agri-Civic Center to "perform" at a fundraiser back in the 1980s. It was wonderful to see Flatnose climb and then to meet Barney and Flatnose up close.

They were on Johnny Carson. I think there's a video on here of it. I'm from the area around there.

@gscps this is old footage from the show Carolina Camera...It amazed me to see that this news guy was working with the station that long ago too lol...He is one of my faves...you can see alot of these old episodes if you have time warner digital cable

Is he a descendant of the Flatnose tree climbing dog of the late 60's/70's? Or is he the real deal and this is old footage just posted?

I bet you this "hick" as you call him has a better life than you and is much happier day to day than you are. I don't know where you are from, but some of the nicest people I have ever met were raised in the country and in small towns. In towns like this people help their neighbors and will do anything for you.
