M.L.K. Jr. BLVD. Railroad Crossing

As you can see in the beginning pictures, this was recently just a two-lane road. Also, in the first picture to the left is what once was a mighty building, a factory. Guide-Lamp. The last of the automotive industry that for decades was Anderson's main source of employment. This factory stretched for seven city blocks. It met it's demise and was raised before the construction project to widen MLK to five lanes was even completed.
The crossing is at the Western entrance to the South Anderson Yards (video coming soon).
I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed recording it.

Not a bad crossing install... but I'm curious why they mounted the 2nd crossbuck over the highway and not on the median signals. Something about a headless signal like that doesn't quite look kosher. ^_^

@sirkrunch, I agree.We always have the overhead in our region, but I was surprised to see they didn't go with one in the median. It catches my eye every time I pass it.

@sirkrunch Well it's all like this. Just like anyone else. Your not going to drive down the highway and look at the signals in the middle of the road right off hand. Your going to look to your far right or left, Or up towards the flashing lights.
