A Beriev Be-200 'Altair' water bomber arrives its pit at Ben-Gurion International Airport shortly after completed a water drop demonstration by the coast of Tel Aviv. The Government of Israel seeks for Water Bombers to help it cope with large scale forest fires, as a lesson leant following the forest fire on Mt. Carmel on December 2010. The Berieve Be-200 is a multipurpose amphibious aircraft designed by the Beriev Aircraft Company of Russia as a fire fighting, search and rescue, maritime patrol, cargo, and passenger transportation. The aircraft has a capacity of 12 tonnes of water, or up to 72 passengers.
