While it may be no L lens, the 28-105 3.5-4.5 USM is an excellent lens considering how much you pay for one. i got one a few months ago for $150 with the hood and im very happy with the build quality and shots.

Really great video. Helps put the AF noises in perspective. You should do some Prime lenses too.

I upgraded to the Mk II as soon as it came out. All the reviews say it has faster AF and is much sharper. The AF seems to be about the same to me, but the Mk II is definitely sharper.

Why? Because the Canon EW-60C hood is so small, it is almost useless.
