@groMMit1981 because VM is free for personal use as mentioned by maker2254.
Basicly you right when you say you can use as much VM's as hardware supports, but: this changes on your liense modelling you use and you ESX configuration design :)
Where MS forces usage by setting limits: VMware uses best practices ans courses wheree IT proffesionals should learn how to implementate and design ESX/MS infrastructure
Thanks for the effort, but I have one thing to say, I had the problem before. Even though I have x64 bit platform HP server I could not install 64 bit server , since processor does not support vt-x . I had installed ESXI x64 and inside that host I could only install 32 bit windows 2008 server or 32 bit openfiler because of the issue I mentioned above. I guess when you mention X64 bit on the requirements , you mean vt-x right? and you wont be able to see virtulization in bios am i right or wrong?
@groMMit1984 ESXi is only free for personal usage (for example: virtualising your own servers). When you are planning to use ESXi for selling VM's, you have to be VMware certified and pay a montly fee for each VM.
Why would anyone shell out for Server 2K8 Enterprise for 4 VM's instead of getting a baremetal hypervisor from VM-Ware? To my knowledge ESXi is free, can run as many VM's as my hardware can handle AND said hardware will have more resources free as is bare metal hypervisor whereas Hyper-V will run ontop of Server 2K8 meaning less resources for the VM's.....I don't get it....Please can someone educate me on this.

Hi there, nice video :)
my test situation:
i got 3 nic's.
NIC 1 is connect to the WAN Router and the other two are not connected yet, still available for new purposes
Which one is the best option to enable the Virtual NIC when setting up HYPER-V?
thx
