  • who won?

  • Ramdisk takes the lead

    Acard 2nd

    Iram 3rd

    SSD 4th

HDD would love to be in the top 4

Ramdisk is good but can not be started at bios level only after the os loaded

So in fact, the real number one is Acard 9010 so far with an impressive IOPS !

  • I would love a solution to have a part of our DDR memory reserved for a fully bootable directly from the bios start !

But unfortunately it is not yet available !!!

The closer you would have is ACARD 9010 aka HYPERDRIVE 5 from HYPEROS.

It is wonderfull, it has better speed and instant reactivity than any other SSD and I'm really happy with it !

  • TO BAD YOU CANT HAVE rAMDISK AS A BOOT DRIVE OMG YOU KNOW HOW FAST THAT THING WILL BE LIKE NOT EVEN 1SEC TO BOOT

  • now toss a revodrive X2 into the mix...

  • This reminds me of a alpine video called MUTE

  • A normal DDR2 ram can have 6400 MB per second, rams can PWN SSD'S ASS easily!

  • @damien77paris my laptop has a built-in quick run linux that's stored somewhere separate. you could use that load OS files from a hard disk to ram and then run it.

would still take a little longer to bootup, but would be blazing after that.

my dad did something similar with windows 3.1 on our old 33mhz pc.

  • but light will be the man since light is the fastest technologys so the holographic storage will be for the win

  • looks like i have to buy ram san 440 600 ,000 iops per second ram drive to be happy finally with 12 gb per second of read and write im fine lol
