well I had the 'fake' chi for 2 years and my house is still not on fire, i handed it down to my sister i got myself a ghd... People like you make america stand on its feet. Your taught ever since you were young, the more money the better qualitywhen really they are all made in the same place..CHINA!!!.sad

that i sfake it has no hologram the hologram should be next to the lable on the inside of the ghd oposite the led light and off and on swith and there is a hologram on the pluge and a seriel number on it ring ghd or go tom the website and click custemer care and click regestration of ghd and put in serial number if it does not regater your ghd is fake just warning k dawn

@DawnforPursebuzz dear dawn: apparently, according to ghd, they are now made in china instead of korea...probably cheaper deal from the chinese than from the koreans for manufacturing...go figure! anyway, just got the "pink orchid" set from nordstrom, which is awesome, but haven't used it yet...i'll let you know though! love, joyce

@pinkticktack3 it is because it has a sleep mode, after 30 min. it turnes of. just turn it back on, and then it should work.

SO I GOT MY GHD FOR CHRISTMAS, AND I USE IT FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND THEN I USE IT AND WHILE IM DOING MY HAIR, IT TURNS OFF AND DOESNT TURN BACK ON AND ITS BROKEN. I REPLACE IT AND WHEN IT ARRIVES IN THE MAIL I USE IT THE FIRST DAY. THE FIRST DAY I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF MY HAIR AND IT TURNS OFF AND IS BROKEN... these straighteners piss me off.. does anyone know what to do about this?????

@knhatt21 No, you get the flat iron when you make the first payment, you just have to make the payments every month until it's payed off. If you were still thinking about getting one I would do it now cause they are almost sold out.
