An uncut video of our third match at the Toledo qualifying event. We earned our highest point total of the day in this match, which earned us an invitation to the district competition in Dayton.
The match had a surprise for us, though. Our sweeper arm attachment for the fish run - which has been our most consistent run - was broken when we grabbed it from the bin. We made a quick decision to forego the fish points and go straight to the East wall run, thinking that the extra time would allow us to position the robot perfectly and get the thermometer challenge on the way to the wall.
The strategy paid off - the robot successfully flipped the thermometer right before touching the East Wall.

Sorry about your luck. I hope you advance next year!
MY team, however, somehow managed to get in third place, even though our robot runs were horrendous! (We were eighteenth out of the twenty-four teams there.) I guess that means that our projects and presentations were very good. =) We are working on making our robot a whole lot more consistent, so we might have a chance at going to the World Festival in St. Louis this year.
This is my fourth and last year; I really hope my team advances.

Sorry we missed your comment before the tournament! We had a great time...even though we didn't advance. This was our rookie year so we learned a lot from the experience and the other teams.
We officially started our 2012-13 season already! Held our first meeting yesterday.
Good luck to you guys if you advanced (if not...good luck next year!)
