TA: Panama tourist agency here.
T: Hi, I am from Quebec, I want to have an graduation trip with my friends in Panama. What are some great and exiting tourist attractions there? We want to have the trip of our lives!
TA: I'm not sure, lady, there are many different places you can go to. I can say that the Amador Causeway is amazing. It is a long path that stretches from the mainland to four small islands in the Panama Bay.
T: Sounds like a very beautiful place to walk about! Are there any other attractions near this road?
TA: Yes, there is the Centro de Exhibitions Marinas.
T: Oh yes, I love marine life, did you know that I want to be a marine biologist? But I would like some place more quiet, natural and peaceful, to relax from the hard studies.
TA: Well you could visit the small town of Volcan, famous for its perfect weather in summer, spring, fall and winter. It is located in the province of Chiriqui, about 30 minutes away from the city of David. The natural beauty and incredible variety of flora and fauna makes it a stunning place to visit.
T: How awesome. We are looking for something more... historical as well?
TA: One of Panama's most famous and oldest touristic areas is Casco Viejo.
T: Sounds... old? I love collecting antique things from my grandma's attic.
TA: Okay... well Casco Viejo is an area where there are many magnificent colonial buildings dating back from the 1600s. There are many old Panamanian structures such as Las Bovedas, which is now used as an art gallery and fabulous French restaurant. There are also many great monuments such as the Bolivar the Liberator Monument. Bolivar is an iconic figure in Latin America's history and you will learn much about him when you visit Casco Viejo. Oh, Casco Viejo also—
T: Interesting... where are the beaches there?
TA: Unfortunately there are not any beaches close to Casco Viejo.
T: Oh well, my friends and I were going to sunbathe, but I guess we will have to forget about Casco Viejo. Well, I guess I have to stick to Volcan Town, at least there is amazing weather all the time there.
TA: But if you are very interested in a beach, there is a marvelous place waiting for you—
T: Unless, hmm, I wonder... I heard some friends talking about a wonderful beach. I don't remember the name though. It sounded something like... Player Blacko... no, nor was it Planchaletta Balon?
TA: Playa Blanca?
T: Oh yes, I was just about to say that. You know, I was testing you to see if you are a good tourist guide.
TA: Playa Blanca is a great beach with white sand for miles and beautiful warm water. It is a safe area and a wonderful place for you and your friends to spend your graduation vacation. There is also the Panama Canal, the top touristic area, a beautiful and long canal amongst the Panamanian jungle, where you can view the beautiful trees, tropical birds and wild animals of Panama while on a boat, traveling through the Panama Canal.
T: Wow, how exiting! I want to jump out of this rainy weather and go to Panama right now!
TA: Yes, Panama is a fantastic touristic area to spend your vacation. The citizens of Panama are very welcoming and the food is delicious. You and your friends will have a great time.
