this is a short video on how to section and dread your hair on your own using no wax or products simply taking two strands of hair and pulling back and so on
I did half my head and I have done my entire head through this method before
I hope this helps someone
these are medium sized dreads, around 1'' by 1'' I'd say

Thank you for this video. I plan on doing dreads on my own as well (with sea salt for preparation to hopefully make my fine hair coarse enough to have something to work with), and this gave me more insight on how to properly handle the back. Also, your taste in music is most excellent. Who is the artist, if you don't mind my asking?

@DoctorOfGonzo hey I hope all works out well for you and your dreads, you should make videos and document it. I didn't do anything to prepare my hair except not washing it, mine dreaded up pretty well with just that and I have fine caucasian hair. And I don't remember the name of the song, thank you.
