We watch CSX #8957 a SD45-2 and a Conrail SD40-2 #6518 lead an auto rack train east bound past the tower at Hyndman, PA. We are on the ex-B&O Keystone sub in the early years of CSX. As the hind in passes, a 12 hour late Capital Limited, P030, with Amtrak F40 #367 passes the tower on track #1. P030 has a prototype, phase 3 viewliner. The operator of the tower steps out to inspect P030 as it passes. This was the era when the American European Express attached its private cars to the rear of the train. Horns on the trains are a RS5T and a P5a. Thanks for that information TommyBNSF, as I don't know one horn from another. LOL. Video was taken June 14, 1990.

@UPDetector yeah the first order of Amtrak's F40s, 200-229, originally came with P5's

Whoa you caught one of the Viewliner prototypes in Phase 3! Awesome RS5T and P5a as well.

Very strange to be hearing a P5 horn on a Amtrak F40PH when you'd think it'd be a K5LA mounted up there. Nice catches Jack

I dearly wish CSX still used RS5Ts on all of their locomotives...

A great scene with the Q Tower operator giving the roll by. You can't catch that anymore.
