"It" refers to religion/belief in deities. This video is intended to shed light on the negative effects that these primitive beliefs have had on the human species.

  • Another area you are so wrong about is that those who believe in Jesus, or those in the old testament that believed in God, did not commit human sacrifice, although they did animal sacrifice. The human sacrifices were committed by pagans & devil worshipers & all the other people who do not value life ! The Bible does not say to be ashamed of our bodies, another area you are wrong in. You say you have read the Bible, I think you are a liar !

  • @MrAgelessone Every Christian who comments here seems to make the same assumtion... That this video is about Christianity, and Christianity only. The video is about religion in general. And I will point out that the buy-bull's story of Abraham presents human sacrifice as a noble act. That is SOOO profoundly wrong on so many levels. And what did Adam and Eve do when they realized they were naked??? That story may have been symbolic, but how many people do you think read that way?

  • I didn't come to Jesus out of fear, I came to love my Jesus, out of love ! The fear in the Bible is holding God in Holy reverence ! Not the human explanation of what fear to you means. God does not say in the Bible that sex is immoral, He says sex outside of one man, one woman is immoral. Sex in marriage is to be honored between 2 people. You are so wrong in many aspects of what you are trying to mock ! God will not give you wisdom, because you believe in hate ! Not, love.

  • @MrAgelessone So people who choose to never get married shouldn't have sex because it is immoral in God's eyes? Really? And homosexuals who have sex are immoral? Now who believes in hate?

  • Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Bhuddism, Chinese, African religions,... All flattened as "a religion" just to be counted.

So..., the film-maker seems very comfortable with a global cultural genocide.

    -.

  • @Mauromoustakos Yeah, I'm completely fine with that, seeing as how NO religion has a clean track record in regard to violence/genocide/oppression/persecution/bigotry/etc. Not all religious people are corrupt, evil, violent robots... But can you really argue that the world wouldn't be a better place without an IDEA that helps us feel noble about turning against our own species?

  • As a matter of fact, the plaintiffs even admit to the shakiness of Darwin's theory. They simply didn't want creationism to be taught without evolution.

Don't throw around your "facts" until you are sure of them. The only thing they were "handed" was a dvd and edict stating they couldn't teach one without the other.

So now who's clueless... oh ye of little faith?

  • @ZukefliJohan OHGosh ... how incredibly funny. Let me quote you some pretty hardcore scientists out there: Dr. T.N. Tahmisian, Atomic Energy Commission, USA: "Scientists who go about teaching that evolution is a fact are great conmen, and the story they are telling mayh be the greatest hoax ever. In explaining evolution, we do not have one iota of fact."

Furthermore, did you read even Kitzmiller Vs Dover? Not one speck of DNA evidence ever entered the courtroom.

  • First thing I noticed is that you misspelled privileged. Then I noticed that you generalize all religions as bad. You didn't delve into the distinct beliefs that differentiate the religions, or the influence of culture. You didn't explore the various interpretations of spiritual text by differing sects. Even atheism is a religion. You lacked fact and substance, so we are left with only your opinion and general bigotry towards religion - a dangerous stance when you blame bigotry on religion.

  • A very true and beautiful video however you forgot about the money angle. Get dunked in water and you get the life after death insurance policy, at a price of course.

  • This video is just another example of the "lost" trying to pull everyone else down to their level. They are miserable and they want everyone else to be miserable also. They are searching for something but they don't realize it so they deny it. Call on Jesus and you'll find what you've been searching for.

  • God did not create evil. God created perfection. God made man perfectly free. The freedom He granted man meant that he had to be free to choose to love. Then in order to choose to love, we must be able to choose not to love. This freedom of choice gave rise to evil, for man’s freedom meant he could make a wrong choice. Which sounds better, “I love you” or “I have to love you”?

  • @MrAgelessone WHOA!!!! You know it's ignorance that spews from the lips of intollerant morons like that, that causes wars, "We" as in Pagans (a very horrible term by the way) have NEVER! commited nor condoned Human OR Animal Sacrifice!!! Animals are sacred belonging to The Great Mother Frigga, and as for Humans maybe we should start sacrificing them to get rid of idiots who don't believe that 'Jesus was simply a great Witch! Read your bible again 'jackass'

  • @MrAgelessone How could a story about Abraham being asked to sacrifice his son, and unquestioningly being willing to comply, make any sense at all if the culture was not engaged in child sacrifice? There is the obvious context. Further, how could Jephthah make the promise to sacrifice "whatever" first greets him on his triumphant return (obviously, this is meant as "whoever", not "whatever"), if such sacrifices were not commonplace? No-one reasonable could deny these things.

  • @ZukefliJohan No, you assert that I believe God created smallpox. What arrogance does it take for you to assert that you know what I believe?

  • @micers Yes I am well aware smallpox was erradicated except for a few samples in safe locations around the world, that is my point, man erradicated a disease that you believe god put on earth that used to kill millions every year.

I am still wondering why none of the faithfull haven't presented evidence for god to be reviewed, maybe they just don't have any!
