this is my Chinese Type 56-1s riffle. Pretty good shooter!

original swiss sigs are the finest quality rifles around,heavy,but very well made,as for the norinco,dont let the made in china fool you,these are very well made AKs,thicker barrels with tiny serations along the length to act like a radiator and aid in cooling,the reciever is 1.5mm thick as opposed to 1mm which is typical of most stamped AKs,very stark contrast when comparing AK vs SIG550,im a purest myself(keep the wood),nice vid,nice gun

@TabCrusher i believe that our Swiss standard riffle is way too good for the average soldier. they are too expensive. basically everyone is issued a sniper riffle without the scope.

@2mnyshp i once visited the SIG plant where they make the guns and a lot of the different manufacturing processes are made by hand.

i heard that swiss citizens are issued a sig 550 for free,if so at what age did you recieve yours,if they did that in the U.S. they would be sold for drugs

@TabCrusher you get them when you enter your military service.once you're done you can either keep it (costs you a tiny bit of money) or you can give it back.

if you keep it you have to keep shooting the mandatory shooting events. however before it's completely yours, you have to send it in to disable burst and fully auto capabilities.

@screamingdemon most guns are sufficently accurate. it's usually the shooter's hand or body position that denies an accurate shot.

@2mnyshp I rather would have a rifle that is too good rather then not good enough. The Sig is very,very, expensive like you said. Since the Swiss don't fight wars, they can afford to have such expensive rifles.
