Maid escapes jail over sex videos blackmail of lover

An Indonesian domestic helper who tried to blackmail a senior civil servant using videos of them having sex was given a suspended jail term.
The court heard that Sri Atmi, 33, first met the official, identified only as X, in a Wan Chai bar in October 2009. They fell in love after having sex that day.

The court was told yesterday Atmi loved X so much she was willing to have sex with him blindfolded.

Atmi, who came to Hong Kong in February 2009, was divorced with three children.

She took the sex videos with her mobile phone on January 5 and March 14 last year at a hotel in Causeway Bay, naming the videos Angel Style and Sweet Trouble.

The court heard that when X ordered the defendant to delete the pictures, she agreed but did not do so.

In July last year she got angry when X was sent to work in Britain.

District Court Judge Douglas Yau Tak-hong heard that X still managed to contact Atmi while working overseas, constantly sending her jewelry and money.

But when Atmi saw many photos of women in X's Facebook, she confronted him about them. X then decided to "unfriend" Atmi so she was unable to look at the pictures.

The court was told that on April 12 and 15, she blackmailed X for HK$10,000, threatening that if he did not give her the money, she would post the videos on the internet.

The defendant then sent six e-mail threats to X informing him that the sex videos had not been deleted, and demanded they get back together again.

A report was made to the police and Atmi was arrested at her workplace in Chungking Mansions in April.

The judge said Atmi blackmailed X only because she wanted to get back with him.

He sentenced her to six months' imprisonment, suspended for one year, because she had admitted the offense, felt ashamed of what she did, and was sincere in wanting to turn over a new leaf.

we need to add more of these videos of all the atrrocities done by this maids in singapore and shame them in public so that others do not fall prey to their terrorist movement. thanks for putting this up. Please include in Stomp also.
