This is our rendered scene that we made completely in Opengl using no molders for our CMPS160 graphics course at the University of California Santa Cruz. It's all made with simple figures objects, and in C++.

  • Pretty neat! But why did you use OpenGL instead of say, some raytracer like POV-Ray, to render a movie?

  • That was part of the project. Basically create something simple in OGL using a reall life still photo as a reference.

  • I think you should have used more than one reference! the size of the elbow part is way to big!

  • Yea i know. But we did this all from scratch back then. So it was hard trying to come up with a math equation to represent that part. It was a quick code we did for our final project. Like any other college student, we left the project till the last moment and coded up everything one night before finals
