Medical Hotseat - Discovery Health 2004
In this interesting video produced in Canada for the Discovery Health Channel in June of 2004, host Avery Haines moderates a discussion of fluoridation featuring three views of the practice.
Dr. Euan Swan of the Canadian Dental Association supports fluoridation and believes the policy has significant benefits to broad populations based upon decades of research and observational evidence.
Professor David Locker of the Department of Dentistry at the University of Toronto believes that there may be benefits to the practice, but feels the scientific evidence is very weak.
And, Professor Paul Connett, who at this time was teaching environmental chemistry at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, (now retired and the director of the Fluoride Action Network), believes that the practice of fluoridation is unnecessary, scientifically unsupported, risky and a violation of medical ethics.

The whole fluoride debate is full of logical fallacies on the side of the establishment.
Their argument about Fluorine:
"Fluoride occurs naturally as Calcium Fluoride. We believe the body requires it, therefore we shall dump toxic waste (H2SiF6 + other contaminants) into the water supply so people consume that instead."
My argument about Oxygen:
"Oxygen occurs naturally. Our bodies most definitely need it. Car fumes contain oxides, therefore I must breathe in car fumes."

What really annoys me is that even in the modern day, we still have to put on sharp suits and grovel to other 'bigger' men in sharp suits so 'they' may take toxic waste out of 'our' water supply. If only we were allowed to have whatever we want without having to beg with mountains of scientific evidence only to have our wishes refused by the establishment.
Thank you so much for all you're doing.
