My graduation animated short film. Nominated for the Academic Achievement Award at ArtEZ Zwolle.

Special thanks to Marijana Cosic, Douwe Dijkstra and Freek Rossen for their keen insights and invaluable advice.

The film is a semi-autobiographical tale showing among others modern madness, attention disorder, overindulgence, fear of death, being alone without loneliness. It has a loose narrative, almost sequential, encouraging the viewer to construct their own theories, while retaining a unity in theme and atmosphere.

EDIT: Slight adjustment to credits and fixed some audio glitches.

  • Is deze eigenlijk korter dan die die bij Beeldbuis getoond werd?

  • @87687696 Nope, exact dezelfde versie.

  • I have the imagination of a gnat, I guess, because I don't get it. Oh well... Moving on.

  • @TheDamnSpot I'd say it's not about imagination, more about things you recognize or want to recognize.

    Also, what's a gnat?

  • @JJverhoef Gnat: a small larvae that may be free living or aquatic. They are extremely small, barely visible to the naked eye. In the context of my statement it meant to signify a 'small' or 'insignificant' quantity.

  • I got that last part, barely :) Thanks for the intel, too lazy to Google, now I know.

  • Really impressive. The atmosphere is just incredible. I'm also a big fan of Hayao Miyazaki's work and the inspiration for this short is undeniable. Keep at it, you are a great talent.
