overall the new remake was total wast of production money, no point to spoil the original and for them to make a quick buck.

- 11millllion stars for such a dumb film just re release the original. I would pay to the original anything......................­............

the remake is total rubbish, the music is rubbish the acting is rubbish the directing is rubbish the whole move is a wast of air. Jonny depp is not the person for this. Gene Wilder is still the best and much better than johnny depp is this role....

Sorry for this, but I just had to continue it from here.

So since my dad wasn't familiar with the story I thought of telling him the story,and he liked it so we decided to watch the Burton film, and just as I've said he didn't like it. So I've decided to show him the old version and he loved it even from the beginning.

In the original, Wilder WAS Wonka, Ostrum WAS Charlie, the kids who played the spoiled kids [specially Veruca] WERE the spoiled kids. Heck, the old movie WAS the type of Roald Dahl movie I would see. In fact, this version is the one that got me hooked on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory because my dad and I think that the Burton Wonka was a cycopath and the spoiled kids weren't spoiled enough so they didn't really deserved the punishment.
