hey guy's make it too complicate Jack-Asses.. u all u need to do is get a simple toggle switch & find the CAN wiring to the Command & tap into it.. simple & when u want to de-activate the CAN which send's signal to the command u kill the signal & the command can play DVD's .. i've done it on W211 E-class with NTG2 comands which have the SD-media card slot located on top of DVD port... dork's.

Yeah... thats a terrible idea... Sure you can cut the network connection with a toggle switch but (1) you lose steering wheel control (2) lose driver display (3) lose illumination (4) the car will log errors (5) the command will shut down (6) rear cam gets disabled... oh and (7) teleaid gets disabled so if you crash the emergency personnel will not be able to locate you or even talk to you... This is a mercedes...most MB owners dont want to hack up their car like its a yugo.

Would this work in A UK spec 2009/2010 C250 CGI? Also is it possible to chip the dvd player which is region 2 to be region free?

@osakla Yes the VIM module will work for your vehicle... The region code can be changed using the dealer service software but only to a different region and it can only be changed a maximum of 5 times.

@catch9966 You are so wrong. First thing I did on my C180 is to swap the ECU with one off a C200 (same superchargerd 1.8L engine, C200 has more hp)

Hi. I'm a little unsure here. I have a 2008 ML320CDI with Command. Will this modification fit my car and will it allow me to view a DVD? If so, how do I get the bits and instructions I would need to do the job? Thanks.
