Remixed with a touch of organ4u, although darn it it still needs a touch more...touch more version available for download here:

Please visit Michael and subscribe to him here if you like this video: http://www.youtube.com/user/PhilDeeferSite (it's noticeable pixilation is my own fault 'cause I'm reuploading his original video from an mpeg and the quality isn't anywhere as smooth unfortunately, although the sound is now a lot better).
Ron played slide guitar like only a man from a sparsely settled Southern state of the Union can do. You'll find his musical obsessions realised in brilliance, and I honestly mean brilliance, here: http://www.youtube.com/user/rhopen

and also here: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheDefiniteMaybes (along with some of his talented friends...he has many).
As for the lyric, if you are familiar with cognitive therapy, as developed by the emminent psychiatrist David D. Burns and other people, then you'll recognise the thinking errors name checked, such as "crystal ball gazing", "filtering", "magnifying" and so forth, and if you are also aware of the symbolism found in the Writings of Baha'u'llah, the Prophet/Founder of the Baha'i Faith, then you'll see it has been mixed in with the cognitive therapy stuff, as the soul can be compared to the sun and any thinking errors/illnesses are like clouds which blot out the sun's rays...but the sun is still there behind those clouds...The Manifestation of God can be compared to the sun too, the rays of which can be seen in a clear polished mirror, a stainless soul free of dust and dross. If we say it is the sun we see in the mirror it is true but also it is true if we say the sun has not literally descended into the mirror but that it remains sanctified in its essence from any notion of incarnation as it always has been throughout eternity. The mysteries of the trinity totally compatible with monotheism have been explained to us here. Not only this but the sun can return the next day and we can call it a different sun or the same sun. Any clouds which prevent us from recognising it as the same sun though are due to our own blindness. Clerics can be like clouds...more of them are like clouds than like a clear blue sky...How did these different analogies get mixed together into a song about the journey two people take down the road of life together? I'm not too sure but I like the mixture, even though the best songs don't mix metaphors but rather extend or elaborate upon a single one of them...rules are made to be broken however...guess I was relying on a medicinal brew of cognitive therapy, spirituality and artistic expression to get me through a rough patch. This song is the first one of six documenting a personal crisis of sorts and Touch is the last. The six songs form a kind of song cycle so I have added them to the playlist Some Original Songs in the order that I wrote them. The playlist can be found on my channel.
Booming sound, trippy images, top writing, producing and mastering...perfect

Good mix. Like both versions. :)

Thanks Kent. They're pretty similar out of necessity, due to the basic bass, drums and vocals being stuck in a mix together which they can't get out of, but with a bit of eq fiddling here and there and panning of the slide guitar to the left and adding a couple of organ sounds to mid right it feels a bit nicer to hear I hope. Apart from a couple of annoying bits of noise which poke out that were impossible to get rid of (for me at least) and which the mp3 format heightened. Such is life!
