BOB DOWNE (the comic creation of Mark Trevorrow) returned to London's Bloomsbury Theatre in September 2007 for his first UK shows in five years, where an adoring audience was waiting for him. The show was titled LIVE & SWINGIN' and here he opens with the 1945 classic, ON THE ATCHISON, TOPEKA AND THE SANTA FE (from the Judy Garland film THE HARVEY GIRLS). Bob's superb trio is JOHN THORN (Piano/Music Direction), DAVE JOHNSON (Bass) and JEREMY HOPKINS (Percussion). Front row video by AMBER BEATTIE!
Gorgeous, hilarious and inspiring! Do you think you'll ever slump to a preformance in Newcastle (beachy industrial paradise - not the one upon tyne) so I've got an occasion important enough to wear my beautiful new Bri-Nylon shirt?
