Supplemental Movie I. Cartoon movie computed from the equations illustrating cells gliding on a surface (side view, 60× real time). The cell reverses periodically, and the cargo concentrations at the poles alternate with the same frequency. The high-drag cargo (red) preferentially concentrates at the leading pole and the low-drag cargo (blue) concentrates the trailing pole. The high-drag motors cluster at the cell-substrate interface. The bumps at the cell-substrate interface indicate the positions of the major clusters of high-drag motors.
