iBooks 2 Hands On Review: iPad 2

Apple just released its update to iBooks creating iBooks 2! This new application could change the face of textbooks and education for the future. What are your opinions on this app, how do you feel about it? Will it help schools, if so how or why not?

most high school students get textbooks through the school at no cost... Unless your in a private school

This is the future of education, I hate handy down books from 10 years ago which are far behind in the real world knowledge.

It will help the environment because it does not need physical pages, also, those "textbooks" will be in unlimited, you can't lose it, it is good to the health because you will not charge the books anymore, in resume: it's 10 times better than the conventional books.

I wish they hadn't combined the new and old ibooks into one app, so that you don't know whether you are buying the new, interactive format or the old, crappy format that reqiures you to flip those stupid page animations.

iBooks 2 looks so cool, thanks for doing this hands on.

Do you think they will release a version like this compatible with the iPhones and iPod touches? Because I know they do have smaller screens, but since not everyone owns an iPad it would be cool if these textbooks were more universally available.
