NBEC 1821 and 1868 show that Alco power as they pull the loaded ore train out of the Bathurst yard on their way to Belledune.

  • is this a YDM-4 (the metre gauge diesel used in India,Malaysia etc) ? nice exhaust from the engine !

  • @avinashi07 No, they are standard gauge (4' 8.5")

  • @celica825 Sadly no, the engines are all gone. The train cars are still around and in use in Bathurst, though.

  • The MLW RS18....fantastic unit & without question the best Alcos MLW ever produced,the 251 motor worked & maintained well at 1800HP,it did not surprise me that over half of them were purchased from CPRail after being purged considering half of them were rebuilt in the mid to late 1980's.

  • They are great units, that's for sure.

  • GOD thats sounds soo awsom, wish they were still using them as much as DASH9's, SD70's, and P42's and varying models of each.
