  • hi, i always wondered how you make nettle tea, ive searched but had no luck, so i wondered if you could make a vid about it, thanks,

    great vid 5/5!

  • I dont know personally but I woudl search for a guy who goes by the name green dean, searchy eattheweeds, hes an expert on wild edibles..

  • How long do you boil the milkweed leaves before and after changing water?

  • I believe each water change should last about 1 to 2 minutes nafter the water comes to a rapid boil...

  • There was plenty of milkweed around the trail I made for my eagle project. Its a very versitile plant. Great vid

  • Thanks!

  • @cutlerylover What is the name and author of the book?

    Thanks

  • Who the hell boils spinach, TWICE? I eat spinach raw! Hahaha

  • No, no, no, FIRST boil the water, THEN add the milkweed. I've not watched the entire video yet, but the young, green unopened flower bunches can be eaten, I used to do this....

  • Clarification:

shoots - the plant as it emerges from the soil; growing tips, inckluding 'sideshoots'

What he is refering to in the video are young, tender leaves.

  • It is time we start viewing weeds differently. Shame on the chemical industry.

  • I've heard that you gotta boil bamboo the same way. Once, change the water, and then once again. I've got some bamboo shoots around here. Might try some (after I do my research).

  • dried pods = fire tinder

  • i need a good book like tht one, im goin bush camping for a month, n im a vegetarien so i will only be eating berries n mushrooms

  • Anyone that post plants should also talk about the poisonous lookalikes. Like he said, get a couple different sources Because Dogbane shoots and Butterfly-weed shoots look a lot alike and are Poisonous! common milkweed: downy-hairy with milky sap; Dogbanes: Hairless; Butterfly-weed: Lacks Milky Sap.
