If you don't know the history of the black face, don't hypothesize about whether white face is racist. It's simple, black face was a way of degrading and dehumanizing black people. I'm in now way suggesting the red faces act were trying to do that (they were just trying to have a laugh), but by putting on the face paint you symbolise something.
