This is a video response to my first shoulder mount video. Please see that one to get an idea about what it is and what I've done with it.
I have been using this on an ongoing long-term construction video gig and let me tell you, I am IN LOVE with this piece of gear! With the wider handling, it is amazingly steady.
I added an aluminum bar so I could off-set my camera so the LCD is now in front of my face rather than straightly aligned with my shoulder.
I also cut the bar that has the handles in half and mounted them to the ends of an aluminum tube which came from one of the legs off my old Targus tripod). Now the handles are much farther apart and add a LOT more stability.
I don't think that other than adding a bracket for lighting, etc. I need to do any further enhancements.
Thanks for watching and please rate and comment!!!
Have you considered purchasing a second cb-105 for the other shoulder and joining them together with the aluminum bar you have?

@danielofantioch I could, but that would be a HEAVY sucker!

Suggestion...
Wouldn't it be best to screw the offset to the shoulder rig and then put the quick release on the off set? That way if you need to go from rig to rig in a pinch, you don't need to unscrew the camera from the offset, just use the quick release.
Just an idea

@sk8ersick666 Yeah, I actually had in mind to do that, but this does the same thing - the idea there was to have the ability to quickly move back and forth from shoulder to tripod mounted. This does that too, only the camera is off-set on the tripod as well, but still the functionality is the same. I will eventually (when I can figure out a way to use the receiving end if the my newer velbon quick release plate on that shoulder mount), do it properly, but as for now, it works. Thanks!
