@adam2727cc no..even if u get close....it happened to one of my friends

If that were my kid getting sprayed, there would soon be one dead skunk nearby.
-
@yuckypeas Ohhh, well that would explain why I gag a little after pounding those "occasional" warm, flat, days old beers. I hate seeing things go to waste, but thats a habit I dont mind breaking. Condolences to the kid, skunk is a very, very pungent odor.

@yogozarfy Ya the stuff is nasty, my dog got sprayed and the whole house smelt for weeks.

Did your kid harmed the skunk in anyway? Because they only spray when threatened.

@adam2727cc He did not harm or touch the skunk in any way. The boys drove their remote control car around back of one of the cabins, not knowing there was a skunk. The car probably started the skunk.

What exactly does it smell like? I heard that most people vomit after getting sprayed in the face, and that it spreads through your entire hourse if you walk inside after getting sprayed, and that the smell won't come out for over a week. Was it not that bad? (Maybe it was a baby skunk =p).

@yogozarfy The smell was horrible. No one threw up at the time -- our biggest concern was his vision, as it was quite blurry for a few hours -- but every time I smell a skunk, now, we all feel quite ill.

@yuckypeas ahh, okay. Out of curiosity, what exactly does it smell like? Just like a stronger version of roadkill skunk, or much different? (or is it too hard to describe, haha).

@yogozarfy Sulfur is one of the main components of skunk spray. It is also a byproduct of broken down beer molecules due to sunlight exposure -- which is why beer is called "skunked" when it goes bad. Imagine the smell of skunked beer x1000 and you've got it. It's horrible.
