This video clip was taken during my biking tour on July 7, 2007. I rode from Toronto's east end through Riverdale, stopped for a brief visit at Riverdale Farm and the adjacent Necropolis, then continued on through picturesque Cabbagetown, past Yonge Street on to Queens Park and the University of Toronto campus. I had a little lunch on Baldwin Street, a really cool street with lots of different ethnic restaurants, and then cycled on towards the Rogers Centre, Toronto's baseball stadium with the retractable roof, and the Harbourfront entertainment area and then back home through the Beaches.

The clips from this biking trip are part of my "Toronto Favourites" series and many more of these discoveries are to come. I am actually a travel writer, and whenever I am not out of town, I write about the city that I live in: Toronto, a city that has many cool places. I love to get out and explore the city and discover some new cool spots, and now you can enjoy them with me. Feel free to check out some of my 700+ articles and interviews on http//www.travelandtransitions.com. My personal travel stories are located at http://www.travelandtransitions.com/stories_photos.htm.

Also, my FREE travel ebooks containing stories from my trips to destinations such as Sicily, Havana, Mexico City, New York City, Chicago, Florida, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, Halifax and many others are going up right now at http://www.travelandtransitions.com/ebooks.html.

  • Thanks so much for this comment. It's always great to hear that occasionally these little video clips are actually of help to someone. I took 2 degrees at U of T, it's a great university. Good luck!

  • I'm a student there. :)

  • That's actually University College - we don't have a King's College. Maybe we did in the past? To anyone on here thinking of going to UofT ... DO IT! I am doing my second degree there now, and I love it. Don't let the size intimidate you, it's easy to make friends with all the sports and clubs they have to offer. Also, the size affords you the best access to materials and facilities you won't find anywhere else. UofT rocks!

  • @sugarglider21 You're right about UC, however we do have a King's College Circle that's near the Hart House location. If you look on the Campus Map, its there :)

  • nice to take a ride with the bicycle and making this kind of presentation.

  • great@!

  • i've always wanted to go here...but I'm in my last year of high school and I feel a little intimidated. Everyone keeps saying it is impossibly hard. I like challenges, but seeing that I would have to travel for an hour and a half just to get there, i might just resort to utsc :(

  • im from the u.s.; U of T or McGill? i speak no french so montreal seems not so fun. I want to go to law school so I need a good GPA, would love to come up to canada but i know mcgill and u of t are notorious for grade deflation. what are the easiest majors?

  • its my dream to go there

  • i heard u of t accepts alot of first year students, and then pick them all off.
