  • THIS KIND OF WHITE TRASH, REP. YOUNG, HAS NO RESPECT FOR TESTIMONY FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND IS TOTALLY DISCONNECTED FROM THE PEOPLE WITH ALL THE ILL-INFORMED POLICY AND IRRESPONSIBLE BUDGETING THAT CONGRESS PASSES.

  • Crap I wish I had been in that Professor's seat when that old relic opened his mouth...

  • most of us Alaskans know that Rep Young is a mean spirited ugly jerk. but he 'brings home the bacon' as it were. he keeps getting elected because he brings lots of federal money to the state. this childish behavior of his here is typical of his attitude.

  • Whether you agree or disagree with the drilling in Alaska this display by Rep. Young was disgraceful. Time for him to go.

  • Another crooked little jackass congressman. Disgusting.

  • you be quiet...you be quiet hahaha

  • I AM ALL FOR DRILLING BUT REP. YOUNG CAN KISS MY BEHIND IF HE IS GOING TO ACT THIS WAY!! THIS IS BLATANT ABUSE OF POWER AND SOME FOLKS FROM OCCUPY ALASKA NEED TO PROTEST THIS DISRESPECTFUL AND ABUSIVE PUBLIC "SERVANT"

  • In response to the previous comment, reps are NOT sent to bring home Fed $ to their respective states. That is known as pork barrel spending; think the idiomatic bridge to nowhere. Reps are sent to DC to make decisions in the best interest of our country. When a bill or proposal is made, they should be asking "is this in the best interest of the country," not "will this get me re-elected?" The fact that this is not happening is one of the main reasons our country is such a mess right now.

  • Alaskan oil is not exported. Its use is controlled by Congress and the President. The legislation being debated on ANWR limits the footprint to 10,000 acres per 100,000 leased. Alaska, like all resource rich states, strongly supports development of its natural resources. Non-energy/resource producing states generally don't support development of natural resources yet ironically consume the most by population. Reps are sent to DC to bring home Fed $, thats their job.
