I was raised by a gay couple, I am a straight A honor student, participate in community service, am very active in my school and community, play sports, and get along with everyone in school. My parents have always been supportive of me and have loved me since day one. I honestly don't think I could have asked for any better. How can you say I have been done a diservice without even knowing my parents? I have been raised better than many children raised by straight parents! Fuck ignorance.

There is no doubt that same sex couples can make very good parents. I want to live in a society that offers everyone the freedom to pursue life, liberty and happiness. And I don't see how the state can see fit to insinuate itself in an institution that was once the concern of religious ceremony and sanctification. However, the secular society, in its march towards ever-increasing "diversity" and "inclusion", has actually militated against these ostensible goals. There is a wider conversation.

If you don't like the bigotry of Santorum and his ilk, work to defeat it.  Both Human Rights Campaign and Lambda Legal are fighting against this sort of hatred every single day. Look them up on Google, go to their websites and give them some support.
