@leonoflight ah i dont think thats what the songs talking about. its about them seperating for 3 years, but they promised to meet up again after the 3 years. after 3 years passed; he waits at the spot they promised to meet. basically the moral of the story is (i think); if its true love, even if you're seperated it doesnt matter because love will keep you together. he believes separating for a while will create a stronger bond between the 2.

Basically, at the start, he went for an audition, and make a promise with his girlfriend to come and watch his concert. However, as days passed when his career gets better, he forgot totally about her, who has been supporting him since the start. So morale of the story, no matter how successful you are, dun forget the people who are there for u in the first place.
