@jas22 I know SY very well...They've got some songs ok but this is not a good band.No-wave really sucked.Sorry-I forgot about DNA,they were (are) OK.But Lunch can't even sing and this boring lyrics for college people.She was playing with Birthday Party so she should know what is the real music and good lyrics.That kind of thing dude...

@mpkpkm first, "boring dorks like sonic youth"? do you know of "daydream nation", "goo", and a few others? sure, they are old albums, but nonetheless SY are legends.
lydia - shes more an artiste rather than a musician. with her its CONTEXT. (im not an expert on Lydia). her songs seem to be a concrete manifestation of what she felt inside of her - a culmination of her past problems with her family, i guess. "i just want them to FEEL something". i think i understand that train of thought.

@H2HOtex thats how i find my music though. i try to think of what most people would find awkard and uncomfortable. and i happen to enjoy it. :o. the coolest kids don't even listen to music they listen to the sound of water and pre recordings of nature.
