Apogee Foundation Scholar Bogdan Dekhtyaruk (16), Uman Ukraine

Apogee Foundation Scholar Bogdan Dekhtyaruk is shown performing on a highly rated Back Stradivarius trumpet obtained for his training and career by the Apogee Foundation. Dekhtyaruk was a student in a remote region of Ukraine when he was discovered by The Apogee Foundation at the age of 12 in 2005, following which he was given the opportunity to perform at Apogee's 2006 Odessa International Music Festival and to be selected as an Apogee Awards Laureate by the festival jury at the age of 13. This enabled Dekhtyaruk to enter and proceed with his studies at Ukraines leading music school at the age of 14, and to be provided with this professional instrument at the age of 15.
