Loren W. Christensen is easily one of the best all around Martial Artist out there. His books on Solo training, speed training, power training and reality Martial arts sets the standard and it's a very high one.

I know one is in Japanese Jiu-Jitsu and the other is in Arnis. The rest are karate but I don't know what styles of karate.

Loren was ranked by Blackbelt magazine in the 20 toughest streetfighters.I think he was #13, but the number doesn't matter this man is the real deal, get his DVD "Fighting Dirty" it is brutal.

I always refer to his works. He's a great reality-based teacher. He's done it for real. A no bs martial artist.

he mentions he has about 10 black belts. anyone know what style they're in? i'm thinking mostly kempo from the video.
to him self defense is exactly that. no such thing as a fair fight when you're attacked. hurt the other person as quick aspossible and then get the hell out of there... sensible stuff he's showing people. but still martial art training is a good thing to do because it teaches good technique and also conditioning. nothing wrong with learning disapline and respect either.

Christensen has like two dozen books out and a bunch of DVDs. All good stuff. No BS. Good street martial arts. The man has been in the trenches, cop, Vietnam MP.

yeah, I have several of his DVDs and books too. Real good street stuff. Some of it pretty brutal.
