Clark Kent puts on a suit to become Superman. He had a great life with loving parents and a pretty normal albeit boring place to grow up.
Batman takes off a suit to become Bruce Wayne. Batman lost his parents and is still fighting to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. But Bruce Wayne is not real, just a show.

I have watched smallville from the very beginning,while i may disagree with certain aspects of the show in comparison to the movies or the comics, i must say i am completely satisfied with how they ended it after 10 yrs. The had to show clark in the suit to some degree because the fan base wouldnt stand for anything less. I wish the show never ended or maybe create a new show on his first years as superman.... But all things must come to and end. Thi is why Superman will always be the best!!!!.
