A 15-minute game (not live) I played on ICC which features a very unusual opening. But, unusual openings can be logical.

Don't underestimate them!

Also, try to break down your personal mental barriers on a regular basis to solve problems.

  • No offence but, this is not a good chess videos for begginers who are studying chess! Would get the wrong ides on opening!!!!

  • @MrHaha1508 Never said it was for beginners. Also I admit at least twice this opening is not fundamentally sound

  • @GreenCastleBlock, in move 15, if a3 x b4, is there´s is Nxb4, with a serious mate threat with the white queen overloaded? Thanks for the video! Regards from Brazil

  • Cute idea. 15.axb4 Nxb4 16.Rxa8 Qxa8 and 17.Qxb4 gets mated on ..Qa1+. BUT what about 17.f3, stopping all mates and Black has 2 pieces hanging?

  • on move 27 Qa4 if a8xa6 Qxa6 mate

  • @Minigames111 I did play 27.Qa4, and he played ...Kc8 not allowing mate in one.

  • is your "fish" the same as kc's "bunny"? very weak opponent?

  • Matty P, what up? how you been? Good game here. The Qa5 was so obvious but i didnt see it in real time either. chess is an amazing game.

  • I appreciate you taking the time to share. I enjoy vegging on chess vids maybe one day I'll actually become a strong player. One thing about just following opening lines is you can trap yourself by not just playing the game. The openings give a great understanding on how to start and go from there

  • @GreenCastleBlock of course of course, i just wanted to post this fir the beginners, so they could understand :), again no offence

    P.S- I am a beg, i i understand enough of opening principles, so i know :)

  • @GreenCastleBlock Thanks again! :)

  • i quite enjoyed the video in this style i.e. after the game... it allowed you to actually "play out" certain lines on the board, which helped visualise the decisions you had to make...
