  • @MrMichaelChua CHROMA CUES OR NOTHING!!!!

  • This was posible his last broadcast

  • Jerry Turner Died new years eve 1987...I was at my grandmothers when that broke on the news.

  • @csworldwide101 I'd like to see WJZ use the new CBS O&O blue-colored news graphics (like at both WCBS and KCBS), especially changing their news opening sequences! Maybe WJZ can still use Chroma Cues or use a new news theme music like The Enforcer!

  • @MrMichaelChua That's what I'm saying. They're some errors. As I thought that the theme started in 1987 but by looking at all these videos on YT and others, we would see the actual date of when the theme was created. Some theme might have been created in 1987, or earlier, but it didn't start being using on air until a later time. So 1988 would be a more credible year of usage. I'm happy JZ is still using Chroma Cues. And not the overused Enforcer.

  • @kingofphilly1985 According to Wikipedia, it has said that Turner and Sanders began anchoring the news together at WJZ in 1977.

  • @csworldwide101 This video must have come from the last days before Jerry Turner suddenly passed away on New Year's Eve, 1987. So how could WJZ have said that Chroma Cues was first used in 1987? I believe they must have started using the new theme after Turner's death and when Denise Koch joined Al Sanders sometime in the following year.

  • Do you know the exact date in December this aircheck. I truly want to know the exact day they started using their current news theme "Chroma Cues".

  • Al Sanders and Jerry Turner. They were unstoppable and were number one in Baltimore. The two anchored together for over 15 years. Turner died in 1987. Denise Koch joined Sanders in 1988 shortly after Turner's death. They remained the tradition of being "Baltimore's News Team". They anchored the news together for a total of 7 years. Sanders eventually died in 1995.
