This is a video on How to make Deer Bites. They may also be know as Deer Nibbles, Mini Kabobs, and Deer Poppers. No matter what they are called, they are tasty. Recipes seem to share a few commonalties, mainly marinated venison wrapped with bacon. Italian salad dressing is an old time favorite as a deer marinade but dont limit yourself. The vegetables, if any, can be widely varied depending on what you like. Try bell and poblano peppers, portabella mushrooms; whatever youd like on a shish kabob just bite-sized!

  • WOW that looks soooo good will have to try it some day soon do you have any more great cooks ideas , MR chef .

  • @akaeldin - thanks. Wrapping just about anything in bacon and smoking over shag bark hickory will improve it!

  • i want to come over for supper!! :) looks good..will definetly have to give this a try sometime!!

  • @bella44darkeve20 - There are good, pork tenderloin or beef steak can sub for the venison. I think the thing that makes them extra good is the slow hickory smoking. Apple or pear wood, maybe pecan would also make good smoking wood.

  • OMGAWD! I just want to jump in this video with a couple of beers and join you my friend! AWESOME!! I'm gonna try this, and I am gonna get a smoke pot too. Thanks!

  • They are good. For some reason, it takes longer to make than to eat... can't understand why exactly...
