LaGrange, Georgia [HD]

This video follows S.R. 109, U.S. 29, and U.S. 27 through the city of LaGrange, which is the largest city (pop. 24,998) in and county seat of Troup County, Georgia (pop. 63,535). LaGrange is 64 miles (103 km) south of downtown Atlanta via I-85 southbound; the home to Georgia's oldest private college (LaGrange College); Troup County (West Point) is home to the Kia Plant; and LaGrange (in lieu of Montgomery or Columbus) is listed as a control city on Cleveland Avenue (exit 76) in southwest Atlanta, having been listed as such for as long as I can remember.

Yeah, a pretty nice place. I have family there, and have been there many times, mostly during my youth. The city's very near West Point Lake.

Was raised in LaGrange ! The chicken place use to the "Big Chic". Always greasey fried chicken. It was good years ago but I don't like fried chicken anymore. Should have road on up the road past the chicken joint. LaGrange College has a beautiful campus ! Thanks for Sharing !! Frank Foster

Big Chik is a great place 4 chicken. LaGrange's other great food destination is Charlie Joseph's. Best hot dogs in all of GA. If u kept heading south on 27 for about 15 miles u would be in Pine Mountain. The road that follows the top of the mountain to Warm Springs is very scenic.
