  • @Newton2041 Umm in Waterloo,Ontario we see tons and tons ground hog everyday in the summer at the side of the road munching on green grass. We actually never see them out at night, when the sun set they are gone.

  • IT'S SO FLUFFEHH!!

So was that an actual wild groundhog or was it a pet that was raised from a groundpiglet, or something?

  • Good job!

  • @Newton2041

Clarification: Even though most people won't approach a skunk, they can be tamed. If you feed backyard critters regularly, skunks may also show up. If they get used to you they won't spray you, but the ones that you see in the daytime may be sick.

The same thing is true for raccoons--they are nocturnal and can carry rabies.

  • @touchingwildhorses

You're probably thinking of skunks, which carry rabies and are nocturnal. Groundhogs (woodchucks) are active during the day, and can often be seen foraging voraciously just before they hibernate, which starts around late November to mid December, depending on the region.

Don't go near a skunk during the day, as it may very well have rabies.

  • @Danielalove098 As I mentioned above. It took me almost a month to tame this groundhog. You can always wear gloves if you are scared that it will bite you.

  • The groundhog is cute but she's cuter

  • shoot it
