  • Yes he was indeed a great guitarist, what was more amazing is his humble vibes and the respect he showed to the blues greats before him,who helped him along the way.

  • @codehendrix Listen to "A'int givin up on love" then tell me he played to fast. You can play fast phrase well at the same time, they aren't mutually exclusive. Not everyone who plays fast sounds like Yngwie Malmsteen. SRV is proof of that!!

  • In terms of guitar players, they do a lot of talking but they say very little. Not stevie.

  • @codehendrix ...really?.... well as a guitarist for over 20 years, I'm pretty sure I understand what phrasing is....perhaps it is you who thinks they understand...but should gain a deeper understanding of guitar phrasing. Ever listen to "Texas Flood"..."Lenny"....."Life By The Drop"?? All perfect examples of great phrasing and chord structure. Your opinion may be that all he did was play fast.....but the proof is a fact undeminished by mere opinion.

  • @johnnyguitar65 no.... its like saying there are some people in this world that will never understand....... but that think they do.......

  • @codehendrix ...ummm...what? SRV didn't phrase well??? he just played fast???....lmaoooo.....riiight....that is like saying M. Jordan didn't play basketball well, he was just a good dunker.

  • Albert King and I share the exact same mindset lol.

  • 1:04 HOLY CRAP!!! i own the original live at el mocambo VHS and i never hear that fast of playing. maybe i wasn't paying attention the first time i saw it.

  • Eric who
