Fighting breaks out in Lebanon despite Doha deal - 22 Jun 08

Negotiations are underway to try to stop heavy fighting in northern Lebanon between government supporters and the Hezbollah-led opposition.

One month after the Doha peace agreement, there's been machine gun fire and mortar explosions in the streets of Tripoli.

Our correspondent Zeina Khodr is there and sent this report.

@za293 Hizbullah weren't the one who kicked Israel out of Lebanon, hizbullah only kicked them out of the South in 2000. They did the easy part. The people who kicked Israel out of Beirut and Sidon in the 80's were Sunni fighters. Read history. After that war and during the civil war, the Shias were killing and massacring the Palestinians in Lebanon and now they pretend they all like them etc etc...
