msmith624- you are right. Texts don't change anything. In fact, they may be worse, because at least a voice can convey SOME intention. I recently did this exact thing via text. So horrible to look back at the texts that I deleted them. The ironic thing is, later, after realizing what I had done, I referred her to this scene, which made her laugh and I got a second chance. Happily together for a year now, thank God.

Many people say that this problem could have been solved today by texting her, but I believe with that he just would have sent text after text instead of call after call. Or even modern, if he found out she had a Facebook, literally stalking everybody with a similar name for hours until finding her and then waiting an even longer time for her to accept the friend request.

I looove this, and besides, I did the same thing to my GF ten years ago when we started seeing each other. I flooded her answering machine with messages one after the other. I was obsessed with her. so i laugh @ this more for reminding me of myself....

The reason their reality is different from ours is because our society promotes the fallacy that women's lives are worth more than men's (women and children first in lifeboats, etc). This double standard is dangerous. Its what's led the male suicide rate to be 4 times greater than female's. But I don't care about society's bullshit expectations. I judge every individual by their actions. If a woman behaves like this to me, she's a worthless piece of shit and I will have nothing to do with her.

if you were a woman i think you'd understand. im a guy but i think our reality is very different from theirs. there are way too many guys trying to get their attention using the same methods. even if the intentions were different they cant really tell the difference. that's why they're so bitchy and judgmental sometimes coz they dont want to waste time with a guy who they think is lame. their standards get lower with age after being used and abused by "badass" guys. its reality. sucks tho.
