  • I'm 31 now and this song still stands out as my favorite that we ever played in high school band. I was just playing my flute part for my 9 yr old. Thanks for posting. It was fun to be able to watch this with him so that he could get the whole effect.

  • i went to pine river and played in band the year he wrote this song for us..there is a great video he also took of all the things that inspired him..alot of this song is about the river and how it has the bends and turns and fast parts and then slows..yes it has to do with how it runs from one town to another but us being rivals and using whatever building we could find (which we didn't, we were just a very small school 7-12 in one building and portables) really has nothing to do with the song..

  • Excellent performance! I had been the one of YLB since 5 years ago haha

  • are the trumpets supposed to play the French horn cues at measure 79?

  • oh my...

thank you so much fro sharing an awesome performance... I really wish our band has French horns!!

your vid and the band just made my day :)
