When they say that Cheerleading is not a sport, they are just trolling - trying to get a rise out of you or anyone else. Most likely, they can't do half or even a quarter of that, and yet pass superflous judgement. Consider the source - laugh - and go on doing, what they deep down inside envy, what you are doing. Now, why would anyone think that Cheeleading is not a sport? There is gymnastics (sport), acrobatics (sport) combined,and rules to abide by accounted by the judges. The good people before me highlighted this, and the strength and balance required to do the things in this video are EXTREMELY difficult! I will just close by saying EXCELLENT!!

Well, a sport is defined as "Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively." And since cheer leading meets all the 'requirements' then, it's a sport.

And just because they cheer at sports games doesn't mean that that's all they do. Ever heard of a cheerleading competition?
